We are launching and expanding four distinct programmes across our outlets in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang and Johor Bahru, each one built around a different rhythm of Italian life, each one open to everyone. The daily aperitivo habit. The curated Saturday market. The festive monthly lunch. The evening party worth planning for. Together, they are our answer to one simple question: what does it feel like to have an Italian home in Malaysia?

The Daily Ritual: Bottega Happy Hour: RM70, Every Day, 4 PM to 7 PM

In Italy, the aperitivo hour is not an event. It is a habit. A daily act of transition, from the working day to the evening, marked by a glass, a snack board, and the company of people you actually want to see.

That is exactly what we are offering, every single day, across all four outlets simultaneously. RM70 per person, all-inclusive: your choice of Aperol Spritz, Italian wine by the glass, a classic cocktail or a cold beer, alongside a Bottega cicchetti and aperitivo snack board that arrives at the table without being asked. No separate food bill. No tiers. No asterisks. Just the honest Italian aperitivo, done properly, every day.

Whether you arrive at four with the afternoon still in front of you, or at five with nowhere particular to be, walk in. The bar team takes what it does seriously without taking itself seriously. That is the Italian way.

The Saturday Market: KL Marché Returns 23 May 2026, Monthly Through August

Cari Amici – KL Marché is back.

When Riccardo launched it in 2018, the idea was simple: turn our space into something more than a place to eat. A place to discover. To browse, to talk, to linger over espresso with a maker whose product you genuinely want to understand. Eight years on, the market has been missed. Now it returns sharper, more considered, and more Italian in its sensibility than ever.

Each edition is hand-curated: local artisans, vintage hunters, small-batch food producers, specialty beverage makers, the kind of vendors worth actually talking to. Workshops and mini-demonstrations give visitors a reason to engage, not just browse. Our own coffee and food corner runs all day, with Italian street-food bites, seasonal snacks and aperitivi on hand throughout.

2026 KL Marché Calendar: Bottega KL, 11 AM to 5 PM, Free Entry

The Saturday Lunch: Bottega Moments – Now Expanding to Johor Bahru

Sixteen volumes. Each one full, each one memorable. Bottega Moments is the event we are most proud of, and the one that best shows what Italian hospitality really means when given space to breathe.

Every second Saturday, Bottega KL transforms. The kitchen arrives at the table with things you were not expecting. A vinyl DJ builds the afternoon, slowly. The room fills with people who share your appetite for a long, unhurried lunch and who are in absolutely no hurry to leave. One month, a porchetta carving station at the centre of the room. The next, a guest bartender takeover or a smoked salmon brunch edition. The concept rotates. The standard does not.

The big news for 2026: Bottega Moments comes to Johor Bahru. Bottega JB will host its own editions every fourth Saturday, two weeks after the corresponding KL volume. Same free-flow Italian spread, same vinyl soundtrack, same rotating monthly theme. Our JB family has waited long enough.

The Evening Event: The Aperitivo Party Circuit RM128++, Monthly Across All Outlets

This is the one you plan your Thursday around.

Launched in May 2026 and rotating across all four Bottega outlets every month, the Aperitivo Party is a ticketed evening event 6 PM to 11:30 PM, built around free-flow Italian small plates, a curated cocktail programme of spritzes, Negroni variations and amaro-forward builds, and resident DJ Slick Z, who travels the full circuit and ensures the atmosphere is consistently, recognisably Bottega.

At RM128++ per person, three drinks of your choice are included alongside a free-flow aperitivo spread in the early evening window. The kitchen designs an entirely new menu each month and keeps it confidential until the doors open. You know you are coming for antipasti, fresh-baked focaccia and warm hot plates. The exact spread? That is the surprise. It rewards regulars and keeps every edition worth showing up for.

The room becomes something closer to a private party than a restaurant booking. That is not an accident. It is exactly what we intend.
