Sand and Salt Escapes launches retreats for burnt-out professionals
As more people experience burnout, there’s a new way to restore balance and energy

This winter, anyone experiencing feelings of burnout can find the space to focus on themselves with three retreats from Sand and Salt Escapes. After selling out and successfully running their first retreat this July, Sand and Salt Escapes is hosting three more retreats this winter in Nosara, Costa Rica. The retreats will take place: November 16-22, 2022, December 16-22, 2022, and January 15-21, 2023.

Known as “The retreat for people who work hard”, Sand and Salt Escapes curates retreats for driven professionals to disconnect from their day-to-day and reconnect with themselves through unique exercise and mindfulness activities that restore balance and energy.

The retreat includes daily morning workouts (both on the beach and in the jungle), daily mindfulness classes (e.g., breathwork, sound journeys, yoga, painting), local instructors who are experts in their respective disciplines, chef-prepared brunch and dinner every day, walking-distance access to stunning beaches and jungle trails, onsite concierge to coordinate additional activities, and stunning private accommodations at Jade Nosara.

Each retreat is capped at 12 people to ensure an incredible, personalized experience. Attendees can expect to leave with restored balance and energy, as well as the tools to continue integrating what they learn on the retreat.

As mental health and overall wellness become more conscious choices for hard-working professionals, Sand and Salt Escapes provides a way for them to prioritize their own well-being.

About the Founder, Max Schneider

After almost a decade in consulting, Max completely burnt out. The long hours, back-to-back-to-back meetings, and high stress took a heavy toll on his physical and mental health. To untangle his brain, Max and his wife took a month-long trip to Costa Rica. It helped him reconnect with himself, find more balance, and restore his energy. That experience inspired him to leave the corporate world and help others who are navigating similar feelings. With that, Sand and Salt Escapes was born.
